How did the album HOSTAGE come about? “The ‘HOSTAGE’ EP’s creation was a complete accident. I never intended to make an EP while I was mixing what I had hoped & intended to be my first release (the yet to be completed ‘Hungry Gods’). But melodies and patterns just started leaking out onto the palette, and I felt the urge to paint with them. While it’s no Sistine Chapel, it’s still an important part to the Beta Rat catalogue, and is my first step forward into this new direction I have taken.”
