What is Beta Rat? 
 

Beta Rat started as a collaboration for a song-writing challenge in late 2017. After completing the task of writing & recording an original song in less than 24-hours, the project was given a tongue-in-cheek name "Beta Rat" in response to the secondary nature of its existence. All of the members went their separate ways to their other projects and Beta Rat laid dormant.

In the later portion of February 2018, Mike (one of the 3 collaborators) took it upon himself to spearhead a full LP of in-the-box music as a break from other projects he is involved in. The goal was simple: no guitars would be played.

One song led to another. And another. And shortly thereafter the foundations of the new Beta Rat had been formed.
